Used Citroen C4

Citroen C4 The Citroen C4 is one of those cars that make a difference to reality when they come around. When it was introduced to the market in October 2004, it was like a mass inflow of technology and a brand new look in the world full of Peugeot’s and Citroen’s looking in a similar way. The car got a slinky body and new modern styling when compared to its predecessors. For some, its look is even a kind of striking when they remember other C’s. The Citroen C4 came with a range of very good engines. These are mainly diesel units and the entry level got a 1.6 litre HDi 16 valve engine delivering 92 BHP. The next level up is another 1.6 litre HDi providing 110 BHP and it can be seen as an improvement to the basic unit. The range topper is a 2.0 litre HDi power plant capable of generating a horsepower of 138. In the whole set of engines for the C4, there is only one petrol unit worth mentioning, which is the 2.0 litre power plant producing 180 BHP. This engine is installed in the VTS version. The cars’ interior offers a decent amount of space and high comfort. The cabin itself is very quiet – insulated from the exterior with several layers of plastic. There is a LCD screen showing all major functions of the car. The driver will find a multi-function steering wheel that houses a whole host of the controls from the centre console ensuring full control of vehicle at all times. It is one of those solutions thanks to which the Citroen C4 earned five stars in the EuroNCAP safety tests. The road performance is fair. The 1.6 litre unit allows drivers to accelerate from zero to sixty miles per hour within 11 seconds. The HDi range topper needs around 9.7 seconds for the same sprint. The petrol range topper seems to be the winner with the sprint time of 8 seconds. The fuel economy is very good and the level of carbon dioxide emissions puts the car into the environment-friendly category. The used Citroen C4 is a bit specific car for French manufacturers. Yet it has style and presents an innovative approach as well as good value for money. This is probably why bargains are almost a given.
